About: Native to eastern North America, this well known carnivorous plant is bright green with eye catching red traps. It’s small mature size makes it an ideal accent plant for mature bonsai displays and would look great paired with a fellow native tree species found near water. An outdoor perennial, this plant requires a dormancy period.

About: As one of the smaller growing sarracenia species, Sarracenia minor or the hooded pitcherplant, lends itself well as a bonsai accent plant. By confining the root system, we were able to reduce the height to 6”. This species would pair well with fellow North American native trees living near water habitats.

About: A temperature Drosera (Sundew) native to North America that produces dew on threadlike leaves, in turn attracting its prey. This carnivorous plant forms a hibernacula in winter, which is a small bud that sits at the soil surface and will resume growth in spring. This plant is a smaller growing plant that produces small pink flowers, making it ideal for a bonsai accent plant.
